She has been awarded fellowships and received support from Ox-Bow, Kimbilio, Ucross Foundation, Monson Arts, Atlantic Center for the Arts, Tin House, MacDowell and the Rona Jaffe Foundation among others. Her work has appeared in Kweli Journal. She’s currently working on a novel and a collection of short stories that focus on her Black and Latino culture and her upbringing in the South Bronx.
